Climbing up on my soapbox........

Where have people's manners and common courtesy gone?

It is Cameron's party today, and I still had not heard definately from one of the mums, despite putting an RSVP on the invitations. When I delivered the invitation the Mum talked as if the child was coming, so today I rang to confirm (and to check which house she would be at for a pick up) the reply was "Oh yeah, no, she's not coming, she's at her Dad's, oh, and their dog has had puppies, so she wants to see them".

How hard would it have been for her to ring, she needn't have given me a reason, but a quick phonecall to say, "sorry, C can't come to the party, but thanks for the invite" would have gone a long way in my books.

Anyway, that's my rant for the day, we are just about to have some lunch, and will go pick up those kids that are coming, so thankfully the weather is beautiful, and the rest of us should have a great afternoon.

Oh, I hear you on this completely, Angela!! I am SO sick of people who just don't RSVP to things, especially when you've asked them to! I even put a date that people need to RSVP by, and they still don't. It's just plain rude!! Honestly, it doesn't take much to simply let people know if you will be there or not. Maybe people can't decide until the last minute, and that's why they don't reply? I don't understand that, either!

Anyway, I hope you have an awesome day and that Cameron has a great party!!

Amen! Ok, first I must admit that I'm not usually fussed if I don't hear from people they aren't coming and just take it that they aren't coming since I didn't hear anything. But the thing that bothers me the most is when they don't come to something then you don't hear from them in like million years because they think you are mad because they didn't come! Whatever, I'm not that shallow lol. I had a post on my blog about manners as well. The adults are soooooooooo bad about it!

I totally agree. Not that I can talk - I once forgot to take the boy to a birthday party (in my mind it was the next day). Was so embarrassed when I rang to apologise the next day. I now double check dates!

Yes it certainly is annoying tho' I've been guilty of it myself because of forgetting! *blush*
