Yep, it's been a hard week, worked 6 days this week (considering I'm only rostered for 1), so today is my day off, I don't even intend getting dressed, although I have to take Junior to a birthday party at 1pm, (don't you just pity that mother), so I think I will HAVE to get dressed.
Things are moving along quickly now on the situation with Jon's job, the deal is signed, just need to negotiate his contract, and it should all be over and done with in about a weeks time. The opportunities for him should be good in this company, so let's hope all goes to plan.
Speaking of jobs, keep your finger and toes crossed for me, I have a job interview tomorrow. Don't get me wrong, it's not that I'm not happy where I am, but this is something more in my field than what I am doing now.
We finally have an appointment with a counsellor this week, to see if we can come up with some stratagies to deal with Cameron's behaviours.
My washing machine shit itself. Again. We only had the guy out here 3 weeks ago. So, we, or should I say Jon, is off to get a new one today. I shouldn't complain as the one we have is now over 10 years old, but I got told the other day they only make them to last 10 years now. WHAT?!?!? Why can't they last longer than that? Think of all the landfill. I really think we got sold a dud, this machine has cost us so much, in the first 2 and bit years (yep, just out of warranty) we had to have it fixed 3 times. Yes, I did ring them, and complain, and they did come to the party with that 3rd visit. But, we have had it fixed at least another 6 times since then aswell.
(Wow, listen to that wind, have you got it at your place???)
Right, I might go have a quick tidy up of my little area here, and get on to some scrapping, use some of the stuff that I got in Wellington.
(PS, that really was a boring post, wasn't it, no photos, no links, nothing!, so here's a joke.)
Drunk....Again! | ||
An Irishman had been drinking at a pub all night. The bartender finally said that the bar was closing. So the Irishman stood up to leave and fell flat on his face. He tried to stand one more time; same result. He figured he'll crawl outside and get some fresh air and maybe that will sober him up. Once outside he stood up and fell flat on his face. So he decided to crawl the 4 blocks to his home. When he arrived at the door he stood up and again fell flat on his face. He crawled through the door and into his bedroom. When he reached his bed he tried one more time to stand up. This time he managed to pull himself upright, but he quickly fell right into bed and was sound asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow. He was awakened the next morning to his wife standing over him, shouting, "So, you've been out drinking again!!" "What makes you say that?" he asked, putting on an innocent look. "The pub called -- you left your wheelchair there again." |

Good luck with your job interview
Hope the interview went well! Your washing machine sounds like our dishwasher. And it's not even 10 yet! Only 7! Grrrr. I hate it that they aren't made to last.
Good luck with the job interview! Maybe you already know something? All the best, Angela!
